PROJECT 1 — Simple Vlog Edit (Basic Level)

Project 1 (Basic) — a complete, beginner-friendly vlog editing project using only 2 clips + background music + text.

This is a practical, real-world example you can follow in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Filmora, or any editor.

Goal: Create a clean 30–60 sec vlog with

✔ 2 video clips

✔ Background music

✔ Intro text

✔ Smooth transitions

✅ Step 1: Prepare Your Files

Create a folder:

VlogProject/
   ├── Clips/   (clip1, clip2)
   ├── Audio/   (background_music)
   └── Assets/  (optional text/logo)

✅ Step 2: Create a New Project

• Resolution: 1920×1080 (HD)

• Frame rate: 30 fps (common for vlogs)

• Timeline name: Vlog_Edit

✅ Step 3: Import Media

Bring in:

• Clip 1

• Clip 2

• Background Music

Drag all to the timeline.

✅ Step 4: Arrange Your Two Clips

Place in order:

[ Clip 1 ] → [ Clip 2 ]

Trim off:

• Shaky beginning

• Mistakes at the end

• Silent parts

Between Clip 1 and Clip 2:

• Add Cross Dissolve (Premiere)

• Add Cross Fade (DaVinci Resolve)

• Add Basic Transition (CapCut)

Optional:

• Fade in at start

Drag music.mp3 under your clips.

Adjust:

• Volume: –20 to –26 dB (so it doesn’t overpower your voice)

• Add fade in at the start

• Add fade out at the end

Place it at beginning (2–3 seconds).

Set:

• Font: Montserrat / Open Sans (clean)

• Animation: Fade in / slide up

Optional:

• Add a small lower-third title like:

Location: Dhaka City

✅ Step 8: Light Color Correction (Optional)

For each clip:

• Increase brightness slightly (+5 to +10)

• Add contrast (+10)

• Slight saturation (+5)

This makes vlog clips look alive.

Recommended YouTube Export Settings:

• Format: MP4 (H.264)

• Resolution: 1920×1080

• Bitrate: 12 Mbps (standard HD)
